Joe : Hello everyone . It feels great to be here .
Joe: I am Ajibade Joseph, the Assistant General Secretary elect , Faculty of Dentistry , Obafemi Awolowo University.
OmoOLa : Good to have you here sir
Joe : Let me not waste time to congratulate you on your admission into OAU ; into the great Faculty of Dentistry . I can assure you that you are in to study a beautiful , reputable course in Dentistry . It’s wonderful you’re here .
OmoOLa : You av the floor sir.
Tell us more abt the faculty
Joe: The Faculty of Dentistry is one of the thirteen faculties available for undergraduate studies here in OAU and four different departments make it up . They are:
? Child Dental Health
? Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology
? Preventive and Community Dentistry
?. Restorative Dentistry
Joe: However , dental students will not start offering courses from these departments until their fourth year which is the start of their clinical years .
That is to say that dental students from years one to three can assume that they are just under the Faculty and not the four departments. They will however , in these years , be offering courses courtesy of other departments on Campus .
OmoOLa : Sbites ll like to know about the courses to register
Joe: Obafemi Awolowo Dental Students Association, IFUDSA , is the student body all dental students belong to and I’m the Assistant General Secretary elect of the association . It is the association I’m representing here to make sure you have the best pieces of information needed.
Joe: In the first semester , you’ll be offering these courses courtesy of different departments from the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Social Sciences .
The course codes are
OmoOLa : Good
Joe : For Direct Entry Students
OmoOLa : Go on
Physiology and Pharmacology

Also , there are special electives which are very compulsory for fresh students
OmoOLa : Mr Joseph .
Pls tell us about the FAC Dues.
Any package for the freshmen?
And what to bring along to the FAC for registration
Joe: Our student body , IFUDSA , is responsible for the collection of dues from and the presentation of freshmen packages to freshmen . The freshers due stands at a token sum of #4 000 –exactly what was paid last year — and from it , the annual association due is #1000 . The rest would normally be , on the discretion of the Executives , for freshers orientation programmes and freshers packages .
Joe: For the Faculty registration , the following documents are of great importance
